Social Care: What is the plan?

In the article below, Healthwatch’s reaction to the Government’s new social care plan includes a section on ‘Quality of Care’.

It looks at seven issues, and most interesting is that the Government has committed funding for digital solutions because “People want social care support that enables them to live independently in the place they call home.”  

As specialists in technology that enables vulnerable people to live independently, for longer, in their own home, we naturally applaud this new social care plan. 

And not just for commercial reasons: we too know vulnerable people who would certainly choose to live independently at home, provided they felt safe and well looked after.
