Samantha Davies to Drive Customer Success at 2iC-Care

Alex Fulcher | 09 May, 2025 |

We are thrilled to welcome Samantha Davies to the 2iC-Care team as our Head of Customer Success. With years of combined experience in health and technology enabled care, Samantha brings a wealth of knowledge and passion that perfectly aligns with 2iC-Care's mission to revolutionise care delivery through our innovative Andi solution.

A Career Dedicated to Innovation in Care

Samantha's journey in the care sector spans more than two decades in assistive technologies and technology enabled care, as well as several years working directly in healthcare. This extensive background has given her unique insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the industry today.

The Golden Egg: True Interoperability

For Samantha, joining 2iC-Care represents the culmination of a long search for true innovation in the sector. She describes the Andi solution as the elusive "golden egg" that the industry has been seeking for years – a solution that finally delivers on the promise of interoperability.

"Wouldn't it be nice if we had interoperability? Wouldn't it be nice if we could have something that meant that we weren't installing lots of different systems into a person’s home or confusing people with a telecare system and a separate telehealth system?" Samantha reflects on the long-standing industry challenge that Andi addresses.

Post-COVID Engagement with Technology

While acknowledging the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Samantha notes one positive outcome: increased engagement with technology across all demographics. "For all the horrific things that came with COVID, I think the one good thing that came from it was that people are engaging more with technology, with smart solutions more now," she observes. This shift in attitudes has created an environment for innovative care solutions like Andi to flourish.

Silos in Health and Social Care

Throughout her career, Samantha has witnessed firsthand the challenges created by siloed approaches to care delivery. Her perspective on how the industry has evolved – and how it needs to continue evolving – resonates strongly with 2iC-Care's vision.

The Historical Divide

“From a health perspective, they’ve traditionally used a range of technologies to monitor various clinical aspects,” Samantha explains. “But health has always been one area, social care another, and housing yet another – each operating in isolation, very siloed and disconnected.”

This separation has created practical challenges, including debates over funding responsibilities and a lack of shared technological understanding. "Health didn't understand the social care technologies and the benefits that if they did share data – they would be able to get a better understanding of how a person's managing."

The Shift Toward Collaboration

Despite these previous divisions, Samantha has observed a positive trend in recent years. "Over time – especially in the last seven or eight years, people in and health and social care are realising that collaboration can unlock a wealth of invaluable insights from data."

She has seen how this collaborative approach is beginning to yield benefits. Even in challenging circumstances, there is growing recognition of the value that technology enabled care and alarm receiving centres can provide.

The Future of Connected Care

Looking ahead, Samantha sees tremendous potential for solutions such as Andi to transform the care landscape by providing seamless connectivity and valuable insights.

Overcoming Technical Barriers

"The biggest challenge is that the systems don't talk to each other," Samantha notes, highlighting a key obstacle that Andi is designed to overcome. This interoperability challenge is compounded by concerns around information governance, data sharing, and GDPR – creating what she describes as a "huge minefield."

Empowering Families Through Technology

One of the aspects of Andi that particularly excites Samantha is its ability to help families support loved ones remotely. "Families that want to support loved ones from afar, they can make sure that they're warm enough, they can make sure that if they have a fall that they can put a lamp on. If it's at night and it's the dead of winter, they can potentially switch the heating on. It's futuristic innovation."

This capacity to enhance both safety and comfort represents the kind of practical, personalisable and impactful innovation that has drawn Samantha to 2iC-Care.

A Culture of Collaboration and Support

Beyond the technology itself, Samantha has been struck by the collaborative, supportive culture at 2iC-Care – a characteristic that has been consistently highlighted by other team members like Lee Balfour recently.

"Such a lovely team. There's nothing that's too much. Despite how busy they are, everyone's just willing to take those two minutes, five minutes."

This culture of mutual support ensures that the team can work effectively together to drive forward their shared mission of transforming care delivery.

With her deep industry expertise, passion for innovation, and collaborative spirit, Samantha Davies is an invaluable addition to the 2iC-Care family. Her extensive experience across both health and technology enabled care sectors perfectly positions her to help drive our mission of breaking down silos and creating truly connected care solutions. When not championing interoperability in healthcare, Samantha enjoys setting off with her husband in their motorhome exploring the countryside with her beloved dogs. We are excited to have her insight and energy as we continue to pioneer the future of connected preventative care through Andi.
